news
Guests with reservations at accommodation facilities both in Japan and abroad, not limited to those operated by our company or using our services, have reported receiving suspicious messages that impersonate hotels or booking sites. Similar reports have also appeared on social media.
We have also received inquiries about such messages from guests with reservations at facilities we operate, as well as at facilities run by other companies that use our property management system.
■ Common Features of These Messages
・Delivered via messaging apps such as WhatsApp, or by SMS or email
・Ask you to follow a link for “reservation confirmation” or “reservation verification”
・The linked page requests personal information or credit card details
・Sent under a name resembling a hotel or booking site, or from an unrelated company or individual
■ Request to Guests
Please do not open any suspicious links in messages claiming to be from a hotel or booking site. If you have any questions about a message you have received, please contact the booking site or the accommodation facility directly.
At this time, facilities we operate will never ask you to enter credit card details or make a payment through messaging apps such as WhatsApp for the purpose of confirming, securing, or verifying your reservation.
If you receive such a message, please do not open the link, enter any information, or make any payment.
If you have already entered your card details or other information, please contact your card issuer immediately.
■ Our Response
