The two companies are advancing the multi-property expansion of this project. Following the opening of “SHIFT HOTEL SHIBUYA HATAGAYA” in January 2026 and the upcoming “SHIFT HOTEL SHIBUYA JINNAN,” additional properties in Higashi-Azabu and Tamachi are scheduled to open in August 2026 and March 2027, respectively, bringing the total to four locations with approximately 50 rooms.

As the second property in the SHIFT HOTEL series following the location in Hatagaya, Shibuya-ku, this hotel is situated a three-minute walk from Shibuya Station and is developed within “JINNAN VALLEY,” a mixed-use complex created through the revitalization of a 50-year-old building in Jinnan, Shibuya, into a combination of retail, office, and hotel spaces.
As a mixed-use development incorporating offices and retail spaces, the project integrates hospitality functions into a hub where urban activities such as work and leisure converge, providing a stay experience that seamlessly connects guests with the city.
Guest rooms are designed with sufficient space to accommodate families and groups, and all rooms are equipped with kitchens and washing machines. The interior design was created by “LINE-INC.” under the theme of 1970s–1980s New York Brooklyn, blending the textures unique to vintage buildings with the culture of Jinnan. The property also features original artwork created by street artist “Aruta Soup,” adding a distinctive character to the stay experience. This project is a collaborative initiative between REALGATE, which has extensive experience in the revitalization of aging buildings, and SQUEEZE, which provides hotel operations and hospitality solutions.
REALGATE has revitalized more than 100 aging buildings primarily in central Tokyo and has promoted urban development through mixed-use projects integrating shared offices, retail spaces, and event venues. As an extension of this approach, the project aims to create new flows of people and economic activity within the community by adding “stay = hotel” functions that connect daytime and nighttime urban activities.
Meanwhile, SQUEEZE operates approximately 40 hotels nationwide and has built an operational model that enables sustainable and efficient management even at a smaller scale, based on expertise cultivated through on-site operations.
